⚙️ Main Pattern Settings
Overview
The Main Pattern Settings group defines the core behavior of your candlestick pattern.
Here you decide:
- How your pattern is recognized (Signal Mode)
- Whether it requires a preceding trend (Trend Direction)
- How many candlesticks it includes (Pattern Size)
These settings are the foundation for all other configurations like Trend%Scale, Trend Kit, or Candlesticks settings.
Signal Mode
Select how your pattern configuration will be detected:
- Default Setup → Detects your pattern exactly as configured.
- Reverse Setup → Detects only the opposite version of your pattern, with certain parameters automatically flipped.
- Both Setups → Detects both your configured pattern and its reverse version.
In Reverse and Both Setups modes, several directional parameters are flipped automatically.
Drawings for reverse patterns are limited to Trend%Scale overlays, candlestick labels, and CandleVolume overlays. This is to improve performance by reducing resource-heavy drawings.
Trend Direction
Choose if a preceding trend is required before your pattern:
- Bullish Trend → Requires a bullish trend before your candlestick pattern.
- Bearish Trend → Requires a bearish trend before your candlestick pattern.
- None → Disables the trend filter. Candlestick patterns are detected/tested without Trend%Scale or Trend Kit validation.
Selecting Bullish Trend or Bearish Trend enables Trend%Scale and Trend Kit to build and confirm a pre-trend before your candlestick pattern. Selecting None disables Trend%Scale and Trend Kit — your candlestick pattern is built without any pre-trend requirement.
Pattern Size
Select the number of candlesticks included in your candlestick pattern: 1, 2, 3, or 4 candlesticks.
This choice determines the structure and complexity of your candlestick pattern.
