πŸ”” Alert Strategy

1. Choose the instrument from the instrument panel on which you want to create alerts (1), then select a timeframe from the timeframe panel for which you want to create alerts (2), and finally ensure that you have the "SuprAlgo | ChartSqueeze" tool on your chart (3).

‍

On the example image below, you can see that we are on a 30-minute timeframe with the "XAUUSD" instrument, and we have our "SuprAlgo | ChartSqueeze" tool present on the chart.

‍

2. Before proceeding to create your alerts, it’s important to configure the settings within the "Alert Strategy" group to customize your alerts.

‍

(1) Alert Time Filter: This setting allows you to specify which days of the week and the exact time range during which alerts will be active. Any alert patterns detected outside the selected time range will not be sent, helping you focus only on relevant market periods.‍

‍

(2) Custom Alert Message: You can use this setting to pre-define your custom alert message, avoiding the need to repeatedly type it out for each individual alert. However, when programming your alert, be sure to enter {{strategy.order.alert_message}} in the "Message" field to ensure that your custom message is sent when the alert is triggered.

‍

3. Next, to create an alert, you have to click on the alerts button either from the right sidebar (1) of the chart then on the (+) icon or from the alerts button located on the top bar (2) of the chart.

‍

4. Here, you'll see an alerts panel to program an alert. By default, the first dropdown list of "conditions" offers the instrument choices on which you are creating an alert.

‍

But you have to click on the option "SuprAlgo | ChartSqueeze" tool to program an alert for your setup.

‍

5. The second dropdown list of "conditions" offers three choices. These choices correspond to the conditions on which you want to be alerted.

‍

- "Order fills and alert() function calls": This choice alerts you when all the conditions of your pattern are detected ("alert() function calls"), and you will also receive a second alert when your order is executed by the price (1).

‍

- "Order fills only": This choice alerts you only when your market/stop/limit order is executed by the price (2).

‍

- "alert() function calls only": This choice alerts you only when all the conditions of your pattern are detected (3).

‍

6. In the expiration dates field for your alerts, select the date you want your alerts to expire. The maximum expiration time for your alerts is 2 months for Tradingview accounts "Basic", "Pro" and "Pro+".

‍

If you have a "Premium" Tradingview account, It is preferable to select the "Open-ended alert" option to have no expiration dates for your alerts.

‍

If you don't have a Tradingview "Premium" account, don't worry. Select the maximum possible delay (2 months). And when your alerts reach the expiration date, you will only need to reprogram the expiration date of your already programmed alerts in the alerts management panel.

‍

7. Next, you need to give your alert a name in the "Alert name" field below.

‍

8. In the "message" field, you will have, by default, all the conditions of your configuration on the "SuprAlgo | ChartSqueeze" tool. You will need to delete all this unnecessary text. Then you have two options.

‍

- Either you choose to write a descriptive text of your configurations and strategies directly in the "Message" field (1)

‍

- Or you choose to use the "Text Alert" field located in the "SuprAlgo | CandleSqueeze" indicator to describe your configurations and strategies. To have your text transmitted in your alerts and receive the text when an alert is triggered, you will need to write the following syntax in the "Message" field of your alert: "{{strategy.order.alert_message}}" (2).

‍

9. To be alerted on your phone, click on the "Notifications" icon and select the "Notify in app" option, which will give you a notification on your phone when each of your alerts is triggered.

‍

Please remember to download the Tradingview application from the App Store or Google Play and log in to your account to receive alerts.

‍

10. You can also select the "Play sound" and "Show pop-up" options to have a notification on your PC with a sound of your choice when an alert is triggered.
